I resolved to take a row off my Christmas Quilt then split it in half to be quilted in two pieces. This weekend I worked on a sample piece to decide on the quilting pattern. It was a good exercise as it threw up an unexpected combination of quilting. I have always liked using contrasting coloured thread to quilt as it adds another dimension, but you can see from the stippling below it was just too much on this quilt. So the combo I reached (with the help of really good mates Mary-Anne and Sarah) was stipple in cream and stars in variegated thread. Check out the pictures.
